Garnet
Garnet is a group of minerals in the silicate family that has a hardness of 6.5-7.5 on the Mohs scale and comes in a variety of colors and crystal structures. The most common Garnet color is red, but they can also be green, yellow, orange, brown, pink, purple, and black.
Garnets were used in ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome as symbols of love, friendship, and strength. They can form in a variety of geological settings, including metamorphic rocks such as schist and gneiss, igneous rocks such as granite and basalt, and sedimentary rocks such as sandstone and shale. The exact formation process depends on a variety of factors, including the chemistry of the surrounding rocks and fluids, the temperature and pressure conditions, and the amount of time available for the crystals to grow.
Garnets are said to be particularly powerful in their ability to activate the Kundalini energy, as they are believed to help balance and align the energies of the Root Chakra, which is associated with the physical body and the Earth element. By bringing balance and harmony to the Root Chakra, Garnets are believed to help prepare the body and mind for the awakening of the Kundalini energy.
