Vivianite
Vivianite is a hydrated iron phosphate mineral that is typically blue to green in color. It has a monoclinic crystal structure and a Mohs hardness of 1.5 to 2, which makes it a relatively soft mineral. Vivianite is found in sedimentary deposits and is often associated with organic matter.
Vivianite was named after the mineral collector John Henry Vivian, who lived in Cornwall, England. It is found in many locations around the world, including Germany, Bolivia, and the United States. Vivianite is often used as a collector's mineral due to its unique color and crystal formations.
